Christina De Bono President

Christina De Bono is the founder and President of ClearTech, an AV technology solutions company based in Altadena, California. Christina has 30 years of experience in the commercial AV (Audio Visual) industry, holding key positions in sales and executive management.

Christina is on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) serving as Treasurer. Christina is the founder and President of SAVe, Sustainability in AV, an independent non-profit 501 (C)3 organization bringing the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals to the AV industry.

Personal: Christina is resident of Pasadena/Altadena, California for the past 35 years. She is an avid cyclist and has completed multiple century rides as well as time trials.

Joe Perez Chief Technology Officer

Joe is ClearTech’s CTO and manages the technical services department. With 20+ years of experience in the technology and AV industry, he possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience. Joe has handled many high-profile projects during his tenure including JPL/NASA, Caltech, Pepperdine University, USC Galen Center Basket Ball Arena, Sempra Energy, Southern California Gas, The Getty Villa, LAPD Smart Classroom and Broadcast Studios, Tokyo DisneySea and Disney California Adventures Parkwide Audio system among many others.

A passion for motion pictures led Joe to enroll at LA Mission College where he focused on Art Studies. While a student here, he received an opportunity to work for Paramount Pictures Studios, a company that would open doors in the Motion Picture and Theme Park and Attractions industries. Joe has Project Management training from New Horizons CLC, is a Certified Installer, and has several manufacturer certifications including College of AMX, Crestron Certified Engineer and Biamp Tesira, to name a few.

Joe is very active with NSCA (National Systems Contractor Association), serving on the DEI Action Council and the Emerging Technologies Committee, and volunteering as ambassador for the NSCA Foundation’s IGNITE program, whose mission is to attract the next generation to our industry. He is also a board member of Sustainablity in AV (SAVe).

When not at work, Joe enjoys participating in local and international mini marathons as well as spending time with his family, participating in community development, and working on classic cars. Joe’s father was a car enthusiast and collector as well.

Thuy To VP of Operations and Finance

Thuy has been a valued member of the ClearTech team since 2015, starting out as a temp employee handling accounts payable. Throughout her time at ClearTech, Thuy has been fortunate enough to contribute to the company’s growth and success by adapting to the ever-changing needs of the business. She takes great pride in her attention to detail and her ability to develop efficient processes. Thuy also holds a position as a founder and board member of SAVe AV, a non-profit organization that brings bring stakeholders in the audio visual (AV) field together to take concerted action to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She remains dedicated to community involvement and is grateful for the opportunities she has been given to contribute to ClearTech and the wider community.

Adam Mejia Director of Technical Services

Adam is currently in charge of ClearTech’s Technical Services Department. He also oversees IT and systems administration.

Adam joined ClearTech’s technical services team in 2014 as a field technician. In late 2015, he took on the role of IT Systems Administrator and in 2016 was promoted to Service Manager. Adam enjoys black coffee and RPG games.

Max Brown Solution Architect

As ClearTech’s Senior Account Manager, Max works with some of ClearTech’s top clients to assist in building custom AV solutions ranging from classrooms and conference rooms to custom digital signage and presentation systems.

Max began his career in the AV industry as a shop technician at ATK Services in 2008. He started at ClearTech in 2011, working as a field installer and later as an inside sales assistant, before assuming his role as an Account Manager in 2016. He maintains priority accounts and works with new clients on their many AV needs, including demo gear, consultation and quotes on products and services. Also passionate about history, he has a history B.A. from CSULA and is an avid reader of modern history.

Jonathan Brown “JB” Senior System Specialist

Jonathan (“JB”) has been with ClearTech for more than half a decade serving as our lead installation technician. He currently oversees the majority of our installations and assists with managing our installation crews. JB has extensive experience as project lead for several clients, including So Cal Gas, Pepperdine University, SoftBank, USC, Caltech, and Air Lease Corporation, among many others.

After serving four years in the US Air Force, JB began his career in the AV industry in 1995, holding positions as a sales manager, project manager and lead technician.

Andy Navarro Installation Foreman

Andy is ClearTech’s new Installation Foreman. He has extensive experience working on a myriad of installs including conference rooms, video walls, and auditoriums.

Andy began his career in Facilities Management and transitioned to the Audiovisual industry as a technician for AV Logic. He joined the ClearTech Technical Services team in Summer 2015 and has performed exceptionally ever since!

Dahlia Abrams Director of Sales

Dahlia is a distinguished technology sales professional with over a decade of invaluable field experience. Her journey through the realms of Legal and Media & Entertainment Technology and focus on AI solutions has equipped her with a unique and comprehensive perspective on the ever-evolving landscape of information management and corporate solutions. With her deep-rooted knowledge and multi-disciplinary expertise, Dahlia is a go-to resource for navigating the complex world of enterprise organizational workflows. She continues to push boundaries and pave the way for innovative solutions, making her an indispensable asset in the ever-evolving technical landscape.

Alex Navarro Lead Service Technician

Alejandro “Alex” Navarro has been with ClearTech since 2019, and is now taking on the role of Lead Service Technician. With a background in Computer Networking and IT, Alex is more than capable of handling his duties at ClearTech. In his spare time, Alex enjoys rocking-out parties as a professional Disk Jockey “DJ.”

David Navarro Warehouse Supervisor

David became a part of the ClearTech team in 2019 as a seasonal worker. He has since gained experience in Service, Technician, and Warehouse positions as a versatile member of the team. He is a motivated, friendly, and family oriented person. When he is not working on service calls, he also owns and operates a catering business called Iggy’s Catering.

Brandon Navarro Technician

Brandon recently joined the ClearTech team as a Junior Technician. He is relatively new to the AV industry but is already excelling in assisting with a wide range of AV installations.

Xavier Obando AV Support Coordinator

Before transitioning over to ClearTech as an AV Support Technician, Xavier worked on a wide variety of projects at So Cal Gas, assisting clients and colleagues alike. He is experienced in consumer electronics repair, having fixed everything from cell phones to gaming consoles. In his spare time, Xavier enjoys hiking in the mountains and soaking up the sun at the beach.

Joseph Perez Technician

Joseph started with ClearTech as a seasonal employee before joining the team full time as a Junior Technician. He has since been promoted to a Technician position and has been motivated and excited to be apart of the ever changing industry of AV. He has several years of experience in the AV industry and has excelled in his position with a contribution to a wide range of AV installations throughout his years at ClearTech, and continuously strives to be a bigger part of the team!

Coco Company Greeter and Mascot

Coco is a beloved member of the ClearTech family. She spends her days greeting staff, visitors and all of our delivery people. Coco brightens our days with her sweet and friendly personality. We love having her on the team – she brings us a lot of joy and happiness!
